However you join, you reach the same bar before you ever see a client. Whether you arrive already qualified or build toward it with us, every practitioner is signed off to the PIYP standard first.
Once you're live, you build your client base at your own pace. You set your hours and your scope. You keep the majority of your session rate, calculated automatically and paid via Stripe. There is no fixed roster and no cap on how much you choose to take on.
You keep the larger share of every session you run, calculated in real time and distributed automatically. Your time, your rate, your decision on how much you take on.
PIYP's share covers client acquisition, platform technology, AI support tools, matching, and practitioner support. You get the clients. We handle everything around the session.
PIYP does not publish earnings projections. What you earn depends entirely on the hours you choose to work and the clients you take on. We will be straight with you about how it all works before you ever commit.

Every PIYP practitioner holds verified professional qualifications, counselling, coaching, social work, or allied health. Accreditation is checked before anyone joins the platform.

Before going live on the platform, every PIYP practitioner completes our training program, an intensive process run over 18 weeks. This is not a box-ticking exercise. It is how we make sure every client gets the best possible experience, every time, and how we hold a single consistent standard across the network.
The PIYP training program covers the platform, the 9 Pillar framework, the HEAL methodology, session delivery standards, escalation protocols, and the AI tools that support your work. You complete it once, and it becomes the foundation for how you practise on PIYP, flexible, purposeful work that fits your life.
The PIYP training is a one-time process. Complete it and you have ongoing access to the platform, the client network, and the practitioner community. This is not a job with a roster. It is flexible, paid work on a platform that brings the clients to you, with the scope and hours you choose.
PIYP is not a directory. We are a curated specialist network. Every person on our platform is verified, trained, and accepted. Standards exist to protect clients, and to protect you.

Complete the short application form with your qualifications, area of focus, and a brief note on your lived experience and why PIYP feels right for you. As soon as you submit, you'll receive the PIYP Practitioner Pack to read before we talk.
10 minutesOur team verifies your professional registration through the relevant bodies (AHPRA, ACA, PACFA, AASW, etc.). Non-negotiable. Every PIYP specialist is verified, no exceptions. This protects your reputation as much as our clients.
1–3 business daysA 30-minute call with the PIYP team. We learn about your background, your specialisation, your lived experience, and what you're looking for. You'll get to ask us anything. This is a real conversation, not an interview.
30 minutesYou complete the PIYP training program, platform, framework, session standards, escalation protocols, and AI tools. Run over 18 weeks and signed off by the PIYP standards team. This is your preparation for flexible, purposeful work on the platform.
18-week programYour specialist profile goes live on the PIYP platform. The matchmaking engine begins routing clients to you based on your profile, specialisation, and availability. Most specialists receive their first client allocation within the first week of going live.
Week oneSend us a brief introduction, your qualifications, your lived experience, your specialty area, and what draws you to PIYP. Our team will respond within 48 hours and we'll take it from there.
